Some Confetti Minus The Flashing Lights

I've been anticipating my college graduation for a few years, now.  Imagining walking the stage with soft subtle creaks in the floorboards as everyone is quiet and nervous.  The shaking of clammy and exposed and working hands.  The sudden surge of relief as cardstock lingers on my fingers.  The glance into the audience with heated lights and phantom memories of high school.  Except this isn't high school.  It's college.  It's a Bachelor's degree.  I am the first in my family to graduate college and although it has taken me years to accomplish, it has come at the right time in my life:  when all the world has revealed it's splendor.
